Haven't been mr mcposty here lately. Things are going ok. Got a lot of yard work done this weekend. Gearing up for trip to Seattle a week from Thursday to see mom for Mother's Day. Wish my family wasn't so spread apart.

Tired, this heatwave screws up my sleep cycle.

The final episodes of Battlestar Galactica begin today. The sci-fi drama often explores the relationship between humans and machines. At what point do we consider a machine with artificial intelligence to be an individual with its own feelings and rights?

President-elect Obama said it best a few weeks ago on 60 Minutes. “Oil prices go up, gas prices at the pump go up, everybody goes into a flurry of activity. And then the prices go back down and suddenly we act like it’s not important, and we start, you know, filling up our SUVs again. And, as a consequence, we never make any progress. It’s part of the addiction, all right. That has to be broken. Now is the time to break it.”

Now we're in that "oh yeah gas is under 2$ a gallon fill 'er up!" mode. It's the crack dealer feeling the pinch, the tobacco company looking for more people to addict that they're giving away free samples. Doesn't make a difference when national unemployment is cresting 10% and welfare and UEI claims are through the roof now is it? NY State is going all doomsday with it's budget. We have to drive oil down to the point where it's under a dollar a barrel- to the point where they're giving it away to no one. We have to push harder and stronger more than ever now. 40 years ago we were saying the same exact thing.

don't be fooled, it won't last past Feb.

St. Eligius ( St. Elsewhere ) Dr Ehrlich or Dr. Craig ftw!

Chicago Hope close second

Dr. Shutte was awesome.

definitely not Cook County General (ER) - too many people die there- doctors and patients alike. Too many epic fails. Why that place wasn't shut down is a miracle for malpractice lawyers.

"To be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, an organization [...] may not be an action organization, i.e., it may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities."

So by that argument, the Mormon Church and the Catholic church (200k given by the League of Catholic Bishops...sounds like the Evil League of Evil to me ) should have their statuses revoked.

The stuck their big fat hypocritical noses into the political fray- they should have to pay the piper.

Freedom of religion is not free. Doesn't mean you can pontificate politics from a protected pulpit.

This whole bailout thing stinks like moldy cheese in a French Revolution...come to think about it, they had an aristocracy that was profligate in excess and a working/middle and underclass that were getting fucked.

First in line , Henry Paulson, CEOS of AIG , goldman Sachs and all those other yahoos who took fat bonuses out of our tax money.

You fuckers need to get busted down to bussing tables at the nearest ihop.
